TC-1630

TC-1630 Ultracast is best described as a "work-horse" material and is a staple product in countless shops around the globe.  It's difficult to list all the ways it's used in the molding and casting world because users are always finding new applications for it.  TC-1630 is a very hard, tough, fast setting filled polyurethane casting resin system which is ideal for: Foam, Latex Molds, Silicone Prosthetic Molds, Industrial Molds, Rigid Parts, Vacuum Forming Tools, Composite Tools, and much more!.  TC-1630 is unique because it exhibits very low shrinkage when cast in mass, yet still cures quickly for producing molds and parts in a production setting.  It is also very heat resistant allowing it to be used in applications where ovens or extreme temperatures are used.  It's unique formulation also allows it to be cast into alginate lifecast molds without reaction to the presence of moisture.

Important Notes:

-TC-1630 is not aluminum filled.

-BJB has tested our Platinum Silicones against TC-1630 with great results but due to the temperamental nature of some Platinum Silicone materials, a small test is recommended when trying unknown systems.  Be sure molds are sufficiently cured. Wash new molds with warm soap and water for best results.  Contact BJB’s technical staff if processing advice or cured samples are needed.
