E236 Urethane Release

Stoner E236 Urethane Mold Release is specially formulated as a silicone oil base release agent and anti-stick lubricant for molded urethanes and similar materials. It provides fast, easy part removal from molds and multiple part releases per application. Improves molding efficiency in many processes including pour cast urethanes, injection molding and extrusion molding. Great for rigid, semi-rigid, and flexible urethanes.  Colorless and non-staining. No CFCs or HCFCs. No methylene chloride. E236 is available in bulk as Release #78

Advantages:

• Silicone oils give the most amount of release, making demolding easier.
• Helps prevent silicone molds from drying out prematurely by acting as a mold conditioner.
• Improves parts appearance and reduces defects caused by sticking.
• A light coating produces the best results.

Things to Note:

• Silicone oils can be transferred to the casting, making painting or bonding very difficult. See E302 Rocket Release if this is an issue.
• Can leave a gloss finish on castings.
• NOT recommended to be used for releasing silicone to silicone molds or parts.
• NOT recommended for use with polyurethane foam systems.
